SouthPointe Family Physicians, P.C offers the most advanced and widest variety of BBL (broadband light source) technology. A broadband light source means that a wide range of conditions can be treated. (For example, the BBL laser can treat one condition, such as Rosacea or Age Spots, or multiple conditions.) The Sciton Profile Broadband light (BBL) technology utilizes the power of pulsed light to deliver excellent results in photo-rejuvenation therapy. As a result, your skin's youthful appearance will be restored. You will notice positive changes even after your very first session. We recommend an initial series of four treatments, one every 3-4 weeks. Depending on the condition of the skin, more treatments may be necessary. Many people maintain their results with an additional maintenance treatment every 6-18 months.

Recovery Expectations

This minimally invasive and gentle procedure can be performed during lunchtime with virtually no downtime, although you may experience some redness, which will resolve within a few hours. For some pigmented lesions, you will see a darkening of the treated areas, followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. Since results vary depending on patient condition, number of treatments and area treated, your physician will provide you with complete information about the post treatment effects and results.
